This is the company of returned soldiers who made, such fame for themselves at Bowmanville two months ago when everybody liked them and hoped they would soon come again. This concert promises to be in Darlington Darlington one of the events of the season. This party is composed of soldiers who are patients in the Whitby Military Hospital and every member of the troupe has fought for his King and Country on the sattle fields of Flanders. They have put on their concert in most of the larger towns of. Eastern Ontario and in every town their show has been highly praised by the critics. They have received return return engagements in practically every town and city that they have played in. All profits derived from these concerts go to provide recreation and amusements for the. patients in the Whitby Military Hospital and not one memper of the troupe receives any personal profit. This show is riot an amateur one as practically every member of the troupe was a member member of the theatrical profession prior to the war. The first half of the program takes the form of a minstrel show and the stage setting for this act is quite unique. The second half contains vocal and instrumental instrumental selections and a few specialties. specialties. In this half there is the Handcuff King, Pte. Bentley, and he asks any member member of the audience to place as many handcuffs on his wrist as is possible and Pte. Bentley will release himself in a few minutes.
