After the delicious pot luck lunch a lucky draw was won by Linda Maw. Schedule Manager Kathleen Petrie and President Pat presented prizes to the winners of the first draw as follows: 1. Kathy McLaughlin, Linda Maw, Ruth Marconi, Marconi, Verna McMahon; 2. Donna Kyte, Doris Clarke, Suzanne Rioual and Yvonne Burnett with third prize going to •Helen Green, Pat Mill- son, Pat Poirier and Jill Leach. Following the second draw prizes were awarded as follows: 1. Mary Mackie. Ann Powell and Shirley Holliday. 2. Joyce Kelly, Wendy Bentley, Susan Swain and Moira Fallis with Pat Fletcher, Jackie Beddome, Helen Nesbitt and Joan Graham winning third prize. A NEWS vote of thanks was expressed on behalf of the curlers by Elaine Bailey to the executive for a fine day as well as for a successful year. The March meeting of the afternoon U.C.W. was he'd on Tuesday afternoon at 1:15 p.m. at the home of Rhoda Larmer. A lovely dessert called Royal Banana Delight prepared prepared by the hostess and Thelma Wright was in keeping with the theme South Sea Island was enjoyed by all. Recipes were given out after ward. One of their hymns, "Let All the Islands" was sung to a familar tune. Marion Larmer continued the theme by showing many slides that showed the life and people of a few of the many islands. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. The Roll Call was answered with "How to Improve the U.C.W.". The business consisted of plans for a Banquet April 5. There are a couple of crib quilts to quilt, a quilting course available and a conference in Cobourg April 5 and 6. Dora closed the meeting with prayer. Mrs. Walter Wright spent a week with her daughter, Elaine and Grant Young in Hamilton. Mrs. Joseph Hunter, Mr. and Mrs. William Kelly, Bobcaygeon were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Kelly and family. Nfrs. Helen Newlove held a very successful Open House last Tuesday Tuesday and Wednesday at her Mason St. home where she displayed some of her beautiful and delicious cakes, Easter candies and other goodies which she makes for sale. Sorry to report that two of our ladies are in the Port Perry Hospital. Improved health is wished for Mrs. Susie Harris and Mrs. Jennie Bailey. The Senior Citizen's weekly card parties results are 1. Joyce and Dale Gunter of Newmarket spent the weekend with her mother, Mrs. Ella Venning and visited other relatives. On the weekend of March 12, John Lawrence Lawrence of Whitby was a guest of his mother, Mrs. Muriel Lawrence. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Bud Lawrence of Newmarket Newmarket visited also. On Tuesday, March 15th, Muriel's brother, Mr. and Mrs. Wally Fowler from Islington along with Mrs. M. Fowler of Toronto came to welcome Muriel home from her Florida holiday. This past Sunday, Sunday, Mrs. Lawrence spent with Bob and Jane Lawrence of Newton- ville. Congratulations to Lois VanCamp who has been awarded a Junior Farmer United Kingdom Kingdom exchange for this summer. NESTLETON The Church News A gratifying attendance attendance for Nestleton United on Sunday morning morning at 11:15 a.m. Rev. Dale Davis presented an interesting story period for the young fry - and his Lenten message for the congregation was meaningful. Scripture reader- Bernice Mairs. Sisters Janice MacKen- zie and Gloria Scott sang a lovely duet "My God and I," Real harmony - enjoyed by all. Mrs. Gwen Malcolm accompanied accompanied on the Hammond organ. Keep In Mind: Next Sunday, March 27th, Sacrament of the Lord's Supper will be observed. Wed., March 30, 8 p.m. Nestleton Session Session and Stewards meeting. The Caesarea Community Community Church had a very good attendance for both S. School and Church. The S.S. students are preparing for the Easter program.
