Congratulations to The OBITUARY EVELYN RUTH BROWN The death of Evelyn Ruth Brown, aged 72, occurred on Sunday, August 14th, 1983 at Memorial Hospital, Bowmanville, following a six year illness. Daughter of Wesley and Nellie Allin, she was born in Bowmanville and educated at Bowmanville Public and High Schools. On June 16th, 1937, she married the late Norman Brown. A member of Trinity United Church, she had resided on the farm at R.R. 2, Bowmanville, all her life. Left to mourn her passing are her daughters Evelyn Greengrass and Marnie Brown, sons Donald and Murray Brown, grandchildren Sherry Greengrass, Wendy, Terri and Angela Brown. She was the only sister of the late Bernice Cole. The Reverend John Peters officiated at the funeral services held on Tuesday, at the Morris Funeral Chapel, Bowmanville. Pallbearers were Messrs. John Allin, Ray Greengrass, Keith Robinson, Guy Potter, Donald Morrison and Michael Paterson. Interment Bowmanville Cemetery. Orono Show Case Co-Operative Co-Operative who are progressing well towards their new opening the latter part of September. Kirby News There was a very good attendance at the combined church services held Sunday in Kirby United Church. Visiting Visiting congregations from Newcastle and Orono were there. Six teams including Newcastle, Newcastle, Walkerton, Clarksburg, Clarksburg, Tillsonburg, Exeter and Gold Form Jewellers or Killa- loe will be representing the various leagues throughout Ontario. The event will begin 9 à.m. Saturday with the first round being played in Newcastle, Bowmanville and Kendal. Second round starts at 1 p.m. in Bowmanville and Newcastle with the last game Saturday at 4 p.m. in Newcastle. Newcastle. Since the tournament is a two game knockout there will be at least one team elimina ted by the end of Saturday's games.
