The donation was given in memory of her husband, William Wallis and is to be used towards purchasing furnishings for 'Forestree Place.' Rickard Family Holds Picnic at Orono Park Over 100 descendants of Parson and Maria Rickard's attended the family picnic held at the Orono Park, Sunday, Sunday, Aug. 14, 1983. The buffet dinner included included delicious' and assorted assorted casseroles with all the trimmings, as well as pa- ' late pleasing desserts. After a short business period conducted by Presidents Presidents Dick and Pat Tosswell, congratulations were extended to Robin Rickard and Wendy Trineer on their upcoming nuptials August 27, 1983. The president president welcomed Mike Johnson, friend of John and Shirley Westlake (niece of Marjorie Clemenc.e), who is visiting here from England. Also, Raoel Tosswell (son of Dick) from New Zealand. Jean and Glenn Allin were in charge of the special special prizes, the following prizes were awarded to: Joe Hockin - man with "largest hole" in sock, Keith Allin - colored handkerchief, Wilma Allin - grandmother with the most grandchildren grandchildren attending picnic, Marg Hockin - for carrying a lead pencil in purse, Gayle McKenzie - longest run in her pantyhose, Sadie Mc- Bain - having most recently attended a musical, Peggy Visser - having worked in her garden before coming to the picnic. The sports were conducted conducted by Jon and Gayle McKenzie, the following were winners: the young ones raced and each received received a coloring book. Backward race - Jeffrey Pearce - age 4 - 7; putting both shoes on the fastest - Tina Westlake 1st - age 8 - 12, Cathie Westlake 2nd;' balloon race - Michael Rickard, Rickard, age under 7, Andrew Markie, over 7; wheelbarrow wheelbarrow race - 1st Andrew and Alyssa Markie, 2nd Sean McKenzie and Michael Pearce; peanut scramble for all. To round off the day's festivities, festivities, a lively ball game was enjoyed by those who participated. Those who did not play baseball visited visited and reminisced.
