No school is complete without without one. In fact, no town or city is without access to this very important collection. Yes, it is the library. If you doubt my word, try to remember the last time you did any project or book report without making a trip to tne sacred library. It just isn't possible. Bowmanville High School has an excellent library located located on the second floor of the building. The official name is "Resource Centre" and there is housed our very fine books. Also - as the librarians tell us each year - there are magazines, magazines, records, tapes, newspapers newspapers and audio-vision equip-' ment to help your academically. academically. There is material for every subject. There are books on photography, biology, music, urban politics, and history besides the regular Charles Dickens and Geoffrey Chaucer books. However, there aren't only non-fiction books; fiction plays a vital role in the B.H.S. library. Authors like Stephen King, Gordon Korman, Judy Blume and James Michener are represented. represented. The Star Trek series, romances, science- fiction like Arthur C. So that I don't disregard the more serious side of the record collection, I must include our "Carmen" and the works of some of the great composers recreated by Arthur Fiddler and The Boston Boston Pops. Of the spoken word side, Joan Plowright (wife of Sir Laurence Olivier, 'Baron Olivier of Brighton) can be heard as Henrik Ibsen's Hed- da Gabbler in the record of the play of the same name. The commissioner says he's optimistic about the future of the Durham Region and added that he belives we're headed into an economic recovery.
