We couldn't get by Hampton all season until this championship championship game, our team had an inner strength or desire to win. Hampton got the first goal just a few minutes into the game, but Collin Taggart came back to tie it up assisted by Elizabeth Wunderlich and Brent Brown. Hampton was very strong this half, but Tim's Rent-All's defencemen Jeff Tonks, Warren Bate and Kenny Neihsl held them off along with two outstanding saves by goaltender Joey Bate. Hampton scored early in the second period to break the tie. Tim's Rent-All was playing a defensive game, we just couldn't get it out of our zone. Finally, Kenny Niehsl with an excellent pass to Brent Brown and then to Collin Taggart who drove it into the far corner, to tie it up.
