Elected president-designate president-designate a year ago, Rev. Colwell's installation precedes a one-year term 6f office. He succeeds Rev. William T. (Bill) Wells of North- minster United Church, Peterborough, Peterborough, Ontario. A native of Bowmanville, Ted Colwell received his theological theological education at Emmanuel Emmanuel College, Toronto, Ontario. He was ordained by the Bay of Quinte Conference in 1963. After three years at Coe Hill, Ontario, he and his wife, Molly, were appointed missionaries missionaries to Brazil, where they served for eight years. While in Brazil, Mr. Colwell worked in pastoral ministry and theological education under appointment by the Methodist Church there. After returning to Canada, Rev. Colwell served the Hast- ings-Roseneath charge, Cobourg Presbytery, and has ministered at Tabernacle United Church, Belleville, Ontario, since 1979.
