At Canadian Canadian National Exhibition - with (Jim Brown Lebanon, Pennsylvania, USA, Judging) she won the Saddlebred Pleasure driving championship. Community Interests George and Ella Bowers of Nestleton, spent an enjoyable week with Rae and Dorothy Carson at New Liskeard. They also visited with Stewart and Helen Dor- rell of Charlton. Arnold and Jean Williams, Nestleton, and Ross and Peggy Adams, Oshawa, were recent guests of Rae and Dorothy Carson as well. Constable Jerry Bowers, Peterborough, Helen Vine and Debbie, Port Perry, and George and Ella Bowers, Nestleton visited Mrs. Frances Sutton, Orono and Mrs. Rosie Lunn, Oshawa, who are holidaying for a week at Elim Lodge. Jerry Bowers has purchased a cottage at Valentia and is driving back and forth to work in Peterborough. He is enjoying cottage life very much. Recent dinner guests with Mr. and Mrs. L. Malcolm, Nestleton, were Mr. and Mrs. Ted Hoar of Leskard Road, Orono. After dining they attended the Academy Theatre in Lindsay and saw a comedy entitled, "No Earthly Business." Florida winter friends visiting with Roy and Doris Nottingham of Caesarea, over the weekend included Mr. and Mrs. Russ Thomas, Sprucehead, Maine, USA, Mr. and Mrs. Lon Smith of Seaforth, Ontario Ontario and Mrs. Hilda Fruch from Detroit, Michigan, USA. Rae and Dorothy Car- son, New Liskeard, were guests with Arnold and Jean Williams for a few days visiting relatives and friends. While there a family party was hosted by Arn and Jean.
