No. 115 and 35 Newcastle On August 14,1985 at Memorial Memorial Park, the Bowmanville Merchants ended their 1985 season with a win (9-7) over Curly's in Oshawa City and District Softball action. As the playoff format was changed this year (top four teams only), the Merchants failed to gather enough points this year. Half of our league games were lost by only one or two runs against; our bats just didn't connect when needed. The Merchants record: league games - 8 wins, 14 losses, 1 tie. N.B. - Anyone wishing to tryout for the team for the 1986 season should leave name and phone number with: Doug McFeeters 623-4616 or John Allen 623-5499.
