Local members of the Agriculture Agriculture 4H Clubs competed on Wednesday evening, September September 18th, at Lindsay Central Central Exhibition. It may be noted that Agriculture 4H Club members come from throughout throughout the County while Homemaking Homemaking 4H Clubs are usually formed in a town, village or area with members living in that particular area. Miss Alison Cughan was pianist at Sunday School on Sunday morning, September 22nd. During the offering, Alison played the hymn "Faith of Our Fathers" on the flute. A Sunday School meeting meeting will be held at the home of Wanda Lazure on October 2, 1985, at 8:00 p.m. At Tyrone Church on Sunday morning, September 22nd, the choir sang a lively piece, "Somebody's Knocking at Your Door". Announcements included the following: Mrs. Evelyn Redpath, Stewardship Secretary of the Oshawa Presbyterial U.C.W. will be guest speaker at Tyrone Church on September 29th, when the U.C.W. will be in charge of the service. A Pancake Pancake Supper and evening of music will be presented at Tyrone Church on October 6th, with Mr. Ross Metcalf as guest soloist. The supper will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the musical presentation will begin at 7:30 p.m. On October 6th, Rev. C. deQuetteville, Oshawa, will share the sacrament of Holy Communion Communion at Tyrone Church. Also on October 6th, dedication dedication of a beautiful new Rogers organ will take place at Enniskillen Enniskillen United Church. Guest organist, Ashton McMaster McMaster will demonstrate the capabilities of the organ which has been donated to the church by Mrs. E. Slemon in memory of her family. A ribbon cutting ceremony preceded the inspection with Mayor Garnet Rickard wielding the scissors along with Navy League Branch President William Clarke and Corps CO Lt. (N) Don Foster. Chief Petty Officers 2nd class Greg Henning and Chris tine Lanz held the ribbon. The first order of business business following the opening was a welcome by Master of Ceremonies Ray Abernethy and the Corps inspection by Major R.F. MacDonald, Regional Regional Cadet Officer, CFB, Trenton. About 50 citizens citizens attended the function. Later, Lt. United Church Women Twenty-four ladies sat down to a well-laden table at the U.C.W. Pot Luck Supper meeting meeting on September 11, 1985 in the C.E. Wing of the Church.
