Singer Joins Drama Workshop Allanah Coles is lending her considerable musical musical talents to two productions coming up soon in Bowmanville: "Which Witch is Which?" is a musical musical play for children, presented by the Drama Workshop on October 26th and 27th; and "Showtime "Showtime '85", the tenth annual variety show by St. Paul's Players, will be performed on November 1st, 2nd, 8th and 9th. Workshop is also celebrating celebrating an anniversary this year, its 25th. And for the first time the group will be producing a children's play. "Which Witch is Which?" is a musical written by Beth McMaster about a "scary school for wicked witches". Without giving away the story too much, Allanah describes describes the plot as follows: the school's Superintendent Superintendent Sneersby plots against one student, Gitch, who is not an ideal witch, so that she will become more like the teacher's pet--horrible Hagfish. "Basically the moral of the story is: don't try to be something you're not," said Mrs. Coles. Another interesting aspect aspect of this production is the high level of audience participation that will be expected. "Part of children's children's performance is getting getting the kids involved," Allanah Allanah said; and as a public school teacher who specialized specialized in music she should have no trouble interacting with the young audience. "Showtime '85" will be presented on November 1st and 2nd, and November 8th and 9th. "Which Witch is Which?" will be presented, appropriately close to Hallowe'en, Hallowe'en, on October 26th and 27th. In addition to her dramatic dramatic pursuits, Mrs. Coles is also a member of the St. Paul's Choir and is the director director of the St. Paul's Junior Choir and often sings at weddings in the area. She is teaching on a supply basis in local public schools and is a math tutor for both public school and high school students. And as if this weren't enough to keep her busy, Allanah Allanah also has two children, Kristina in grade four and Geoffrey in grade one. As she loves variety in life, Allanah also likes a variety of musical styles. While Mrs. Coles admits that she loves to sink her teeth into a piece of serious music, the shows she does with the drama club, and the church variety nights, give her the opportunity to "have fun" with lighter music. 8SSfo* v ♦ MITSUBISHI HS-710UR SAVE $100.
