Play practice at the church on Wednesday, Nov. 20th, at 8 p.m. Enniskillen News The Enniskillen 4-H Cookie Cuties held their last meeting on Tuesday. Each member judged a class of pies according to scorecards for pies. The home cooked pie was judged best over the store bought pie. Basic Baking awards night will be held at Bowmanville High School on November 28th at 7:30 p.m. The next unit looks very interesting, Etiquette for the 80's. With a little help from Mrs. Stainton, our Bake Sale was successful and we sold all our baked goods. A donation from the proceeds is being made to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. A number from here attended attended the Hampton U.C.W. meeting on Monday evening evening when Shelley Wright was the guest speaker. She also showed slides which were very beautiful and enlightened our knowledge to conditions in Korea. We would like to thank the Hampton Ladies for inviting us. On Sunday morning our church had a very special service. Our sanctuary was adorned with beautiful new electric light fixtures. Pastor Joe called on Wayne Beckett, Chairman of the Stewards, who made the presentation on behalf of his mother, Mrs. Elsie Beckett and his aunt, Mrs. Muriel Weaving, in memory of their father and mother, Mr. William Moore and Christina Moore who were life time members and supporters supporters of our church at Enniskillen. Mr. Moore was S.S. Superintendent for several years. Our appreciation also for two containers of mums placed in our church sanctuary by the "Window Man." The Enniskillen Senior Citizens enjoyed their annual Christmas Party on Monday, November 18th at the Enniskillen Enniskillen United Church. The delicious dinner, the festive table settings and the enjoyable enjoyable program were prepared by members of the U.C.W. One of the highlights was the superb soloist, Mrs. Wendy Mand of Tyrone. She treated us to three beautiful Christmas Christmas selections and finished with an outstanding rendition of the Lord's Prayer. Views Films on China HAMPTON W.I. Hampton Women's Institute met Thursday, Nov. 7 in the C.E. wing of the church. The meeting opened with the Mary Stewart Collect and the Institute Institute Ode. The announcements were first, "The Achievement Day of the 4H clubs will be held in Bowmanville High School on Nov. 28th at 7:30. Everyone is welcome, and second the next Institute meeting will be Dec. 3. This meeting will begin with lunch at Curly's Filling Station, followed by a visit to Parkwood Estate. The consumer report given by Marg Hall was on the change in the food prices due to processing. The motto also given by Marg Hall was "Life is full of splinters that we do not feel until we start to slide." She followed this with a reading entitled "Things I would have done." Then Betty Kuyer, Eilleen Warder and Marion Lewis presented a humorous skit about the Selling of Sally. The meeting was closed with the Lord's Prayer.
