LOA 1H0 Dear Sir: I cannot help feeling that there were many other viewers viewers who shared my distress distress at the coverage given the funeral of Mrs. Edward Leonard and her baby son on CBC TV news on the evening of 30th November. Mr. Leonard had particularly particularly requested that reporters reporters stay away from the fun eral and that the family's privacy be respected. Not only were there reporters outside the church but we were subjected to close-up views of the family's grief. We see the same thoughtlessness and invasion invasion of privacy at the funeral funeral of every slain police officer officer or any public figure. Surely these families suffer enough without having the eyes of the nation focussed on them at a time when At TJ's . . . their need for privacy is greatest. I would like to suggest that anyone sharing my point of view write to the CBC suggesting that in future future the wishes of the family be respected and that, while we, the public share their grief, we have neither the need or the right to witness witness it. Unless enough people express their dismay dismay on these occasions the practice will continue. _ Philippa Schmiegelow Miss Christmas discovered that Lange's Photo Lab is a great place to go for those perfect stocking staffers, such as: film, flash, batteries, frames . . . and fast film processing.
