Shelbourne, Nova Scotia. District Court Judge Donald Lawson has ordered judicial recounts in Oshawa Wards two and seven. Andy Koziar lost to Pauline Beal by 13 votes in Ward II, and Nancy Diamond lost to Doug Wilson in Ward Seven by eight votes in the Nov. 12th municipal election. The recount will take place December 12th. Joy Brooks, a Bowmanville High School student, is congratulated by her nominators for her selection, as Young Woman of Distinction. Joy achieved that honor at a recent awards ceremony sponsored by the YWCA. She was nominated by the Northumberland and Newcastle Women Teachers' Association, Association, Unit 1.
