Courtice Secondary School Report By Charlene Kloos It didn't take very long "before Courtice was back into the routine of school life. The holidays provided relaxation and fun for many students who were able to forget about school for two weeks and to do things that they regularly wouldn't find time to do. For many the holidays were too short. Exams are coming up! The final examinations for semester one will start on January 18 until January 26. Then, Courtice will have another chance to recuperate recuperate with a few days off. Many classes will be reviewing reviewing for exams ahead of time. The Outer's Club is recruiting recruiting people for the Winter Winter Camping Trip that will be held in February. They are hoping to find some more students who would love to get away to the woods for a weekend of winter winter fun. Courtice did a great job at the badminton tournament tournament that was recently in Ajax High School. All of the Port Perry Knitter Wins Award at Juried Show 5 Cougars who entered won medals. Jeanette Stewart and Melanie Wyton won silver silver in the girls r doubles under under age 16 competition. In the matches for mixed doubles doubles under age 16, Les Ham- bly and Melanie Wyton took the bronze medal. Jason Alexander Alexander and Steve Hambly won bronze in the competition competition for men's doubles under age 19. Congratulations to all for a great showing and placing! Much Music provided the entertainment at the Much Music dance that was held on Thursday, January 11. The dance went from 7:30 until 11:30 p.m in the gymnasium. gymnasium. The proceeds went to the European Basketball Tour as a fundraiser for the trip. It was the first dance of the new year and the first Much Music dance held at Courtice. The next few weeks will be stressful and hectic for many students. Hopefully, everyone will do their best in the exams.
