It was done to perfection perfection and quite a contrast to the story in the book "This Green and Pleasant Land", which tells of moving a house from one location to another. It was so planned that when the house was put on skids, it took off without without men or horse and slid on ice across a field till elevation elevation stopped it, not even the chimney was damaged. The little bit of snow on the roads was not enough to deter people from church attendance attendance out the prevalence of some virus flu and colds did. All regretted regretted soloist Barbara Croft was unable to take part because because of a sore throat but glad she was present. '- - The ladies of Club 21 met at our Community Centre December 14th for a 6:30 Pot Luck Supper. After the first course, we had to rest a while before tackling the dessert which was scrumptious and much - as usual. One regret was that more couldn't have come out. After much chat and gossip - one being what we were going to do or go for this Big Day, we exchanged gifts - ana no two were the same. Then the darn dishes had to be done - and with all hands lending a hand - the kitchen was spic and span - The front room was ready for the renters the evening after and all left for home except six - who kept the midnight oil burning, playing 6-handed euchre. Followed by coffee and more to eat. You ask how about our diets? I ask what is a diet? Maybe I'll try it after the New Year. There will not be a January meeting, and we have June and November groups to come forth. So, I hope everyone has a Very Special Christmas and that 1991-will be especially Good to One and All. --B.
