Cord Mills, MPP, for Durham East, and Joan Fawcett, MPP, for Northumberland announced on March 26 that tire Northumberland and Newcastle Board of Education and the Peterborough, Victoria, New castle and Northumberland Separate School Board would receive a provincial provincial grant of $162,000. The artistic talents of B.H.S. students students can also be found around town this week in the posters for the upcoming upcoming school production of Neil Simon's Simon's "Rumors." These incredibly professional looking posters were produced by Mr. Mathcson's grade 11 graphic arts class. They were made by screen printing 12 original designs in several different colours on a variety of paper. The end result was hundreds of completely unique posters. The comedy they - advertise will be performed April 21st through 24th at 8 p.m. in the Bowmanville High School theatre. Tickets go on sale today - $5.00 for adults and $4.00 for students - call 623-4416. Students's Council is also keeping busy. They will be displaying the quilt created by artist Judith Tinkl in the main foyer so that students who avoid the office where it is usually displayed can appreciate it too. They have also purchased plants for the main foyer in an attempt to bring some of the green of spring inside. Prime Minister, Pam Kelly, feels it is important to spruce us that area that everybody frequents. A school dance is also being held on Friday, April 2nd.
