Please recycle this newspaper Real Estate with Betty Smith SURVEYS AND REAL ESTATE TRANSACTIONS If you're Selling a property, you will probably be requested by your purchasers to provide a survey to show them exactly what they're buying. Equally important however, is the fact that a survey is necessary for arranging mortgage financing and for registering the transaction at the Land Registry Office. If you're Buying a property, you need to know exactly what you're getting, and a survey plan made by a LICENSED LAND SURVEYOR, will legally define and describe, what you're actually buying. These plans not only show the Boundaries of the property and the location of all improvements (buildings, fences, pools, etc.), they also outline Easements, Rights-of- Way, and Encroachments, all of which entitle other people to partial use of your property. Typically your house and land represent your greatest assets, so whether you're a Buyer or a Seller, the cost of a survey, when compared to the total of the financial real estate transaction, is a more than reasonable price to pay for your peace of mind! Your questions and comments are always welcome. If you're thinking of buying or selling this year, put my fourteen years of experience to work for you.
