The show runs from six p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday night. It features a wide variety of goods and services of interest to the homeowner. Admission is free. The home show continues Saturday and Sunday, April 30 and May 1. Durham residents are invited to purchase a composter for just $15. They're subsidized through the Ministry of the Environment and Energy and are made available through the Region of Durham's Waste Reduction Programs. The numbers will be tallied to see which municipalities come closest to the national target rate of 95 per cent seatbelt use. If ever you are going to wear a seat belt, make sure it's this Saturday. George F. Vice, a former Postmaster of Bowmanville, has written a book entitled "The Post Office and Early Development in Bowmanville. This book not only gives an informative informative account of postal history in our area, but also relates the history of local postal service to the general heritage of the area. Special events will include a tree-planting, the unveiling of a rock monument, conservation displays, time capsule displays, videos and forest tours.
