Get Well Wishes for Yelverton Residents Anne-Marie Condon's grade one class at the St. Francis of Assisi School in Newcastle led a fundraising fundraising effort which collected $519 for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation this month. The students, with help from parent volunteers, sold 25 dozen hotdogs during a school Hot Dog Day. Students in the class were responsible for many aspects of the project, including delivering hotdogs, making announcements to promote the event, and counting the proceeds. Dwight and Evelyn Beaucage, whose daughter, Stephanie, Stephanie, is a grade one student in the class, suggested the fund-raiser. Stephanie has juvenile diabetes.
