As previously reported, the second second match of the three-game series against Cutting Post produced a gutsy performance from Hoopers forcing a final game. The excitement excitement of that game was only exceeded exceeded by Hooper's "never say die" attitude attitude exhibited in the third and deciding game held at Bowmanville Bowmanville Arena. Due to Cutting Post's decisive 8 - 4 victory in the first game of the series, Hooper's unenviable task was to either win the final game by a five goal margin, or to score the first goal and win by a four goal margin. The game remained scoreless till late in the first period when Hooper's Hooper's Mark Ganhao took the initial step toward victory by scoring the first goal, assisted by Andrew La- ton and Ian Cuthbertson. A motivated motivated Hooper's team worked throughout the second period, feeding feeding Brian Tamblyn with a pair of goals. Assists went to Laton (2), Rerrie, LaRamme.
