This past weekend July 23 and 24 his farm, was a scene of hundreds of visitors from as far away as Quebec to view the magnificent beauty of these flowers. Police Need Help To Solve Theft of Boat and Trailer Crime Stoppers and Durham Regional Regional Police are asking for the public's public's help in solving a Theft Over $1000 case which occurred in Oshawa. The victim left his boat and trailer parked at the Oshawa Marina, 169 Harbour Road, on Thursday, July 7th at noon hour. When he returned the next morning his property was gone. Stolen was a white 15 1/2 foot Tempest power boat with a 40 hp. Mercury outboard motor. The registration registration number on the boat was 31E22561. The license plate on the trailer is H64385. Several other Thefts of boating equipment similar to the above occurrence occurrence have taken place throughout the Durham Region. Busloads of Lily Lovers Tour Gardens in Orono "\ wKWmm va 4 ÆBÈkiü Hundreds of visitors came from far and near on Sunday to see Doug Lycett's day lilies west of Orono. He has been growing them for years, with considerable local attention, but recently an article in the Toronto Toronto Star gave him national exposure and brought busloads of amazed guests to his colorful, farm. Here, is Doug, standing alongside his sign, which lets the public know that the lilies have taken over most of the farm's hay fields as rapidly as he can expand, while working at the Goodyear plant in Bowmanville.
