Hooper's Trophies Earn First Shutout of Season An early morning match-up on December December 3 at Darlington Arena brought Hooper's Trophies its first shutout of the season. The game against Cutting Post saw Hooper's step onto the ice with both barrels blazing against an equally determined determined Cutting Post team. The hard checking game was marked by excellent excellent defence and goaltcnding. With the opposition's shooters kept at bay, Hooper's offence had the opportunity to work through Cutting Post's lines, leaving their calling.card in each period period of the game. First period scoring went to Mi chael Distcfano on an unassisted opener early in the period. The second period saw Hooper's Kyle Welsh score on a pass from Bobby Gorman. With 30 seconds left in the game, the third period appeared to be ending in a standoff until Michael Wood planted a pass from Jason Charbonneau where it counts, earning Hooper's a 3-0 victory and a shutout for goaltendcrs Derek Lindsay and Michael Luxton. Things seem to be coming together for Hooper's just in time for the Grafton Grafton tournament this weekend. If previous previous years are any indication, it should be an exciting one. Best of luck! To avoid damage, be sure to clear ice and snow from the wiper blades before using them. If they're frozen to the windshield, carefully loosen or thaw them. If your blades do become damaged, gel new blades or blade inserts. * Driving without washer fluid can be dangerous. A bad mud splash can block your vision. You could hit another vehicle or go off the road. Check your washer fluid level often! * In freezing weather, don't use your washer until the windshield is warmed. Otherwise the washer fluid can form ice on the windshield, blocking your vision. * Don't mix water with ready to use washer fluid. Water can cause the solution to freeze and damage your washer fluid tank and other parts of the washer system. Also, water doesn't clean as well as washer fluid. * Fill your washer fluid tank only 3/4 full when it's cold. This allows for expansion, which could damage the tank if it's completely full. * Don't use radiator antifreeze in your windshield washer. It can damage your paint.
