How come I'm not covered for physiotherapy? Physiotherapy coverage is part of the extended health care package that your union negotiates negotiates with management. The extended health care package may also include dental, drug, eye glasses and other benefits. These benefits were won through contract negotiations. Physiotherapy can also become part of your benefits. Every week we get calls from GM hourly employees who need physiotherapy. They are surprised to learn that physiotherapy physiotherapy is not part of their extended health care plan. Yet GM salaried employees have excellent physiotherapy coverage. There are many other local companies whose employees enjoy excellent coverage for physiotherapy. Some of these include Ontario Hydro, Lear Seating, Avery Dennison, Bank of Montreal, Canada Post, I.B.M., Sunbeam Corp., Durham College, PVNC and Clarington Boards of Education, Durham Police, Consumers Distributing, Canadian Tire and many others.
