The annual Robert Fletcher Memorial Bonspicl held on Saturday at the local arena was a great success with great curling curling and much fellowship on a very cold day. Only until the last shot was thrown was the winner decided as the rink of Mark Graham, Elizabeth and Peter Peelers and Merlin Sug- gitl. The day concluded with a Greek style banquet prepared and served by Mona Paroussis and her helpers.- Carol Gray, President welcomed everyone after which David Shearman said Grace. Scott Fletcher on behalf of his mom Pat and sister Diana presented the trophy to Mark and his team. At the presentation presentation at the banquet the winning team of Mark, Elizabeth, Peter and Merlin was asked by President President Carol to reminisce about their memories of Bob Fletcher. Fletcher. Second place was taken by Keith VanCamp, Keith Goble, and Talya Moore. This was a make-up team due to one team dropping out at the last minute and through the day they also had as members, Craig Farmer, Francis Peelers and Lcanne Goslin. Third place was won by Gerald, Esther, Elaine and Joyce Kelly. Each team thanked the Fletcher for their continued support of this spiel as well as the organizers who had arranged it. Mark Graham won the Button Button Draw just a couple of inches inches closer than Joyce Kelly's try. Ron Vice donated a bottle of his wine for a raffle which was won by Peter Peelers. Shawn Crockard, the Fishman's Fishman's Fur Hat by Kathy Vice and the Folkarl item by Mona Paroussis. The sponsors of these draw items were thanked by Carol. All in all the day was very successful.
