\ Rehoboth Church Ready To Unveil Renovations 1 A new addition to the Rehoboth Christian Reformed Church has nearly doubled the size of the building and offers more space, plus greater comfort comfort and efficiency for the community community organizations and church groups which call the building their home. Some of the features of the newly-renovated church include wheelchair accessibility, accessibility, a new sound system, nine permanent classrooms, improved nursery facilities, and a 2,000 square-foot Fellowship Hall. There is also a youth room and crafts room for the education of youth, plus new offices and reception area. "The architect really tried to integrate the old with the new," said Pastor Mike Abma, in describing the finished project. Although the building has been completely remodelled, and a large addition has been added, it's difficult to tell where the old building ends and the new one begins. For example, the new sanctuary sanctuary is only slightly bigger than the old one, but it now has a semi-circular design which makes the room more open and ensures better visibility. New windows also let in more natural natural light. The renovations at the church on Scugog St. have been under way for the past six months. Much of the work has Trinity United Church y-j. Capsule Comments with Neale McLean, B.Sc. Phm. In the field of organ donation, the demand always exceeds the supply. Kidneys are in most demand but other organs are urgently needed for heart, liver, lung and pancreas transplants which are all life-saving procedures. As well, tissues such as cornea, skin and bone are needed to improve the quality of life for many people. Make arrangements to be an organ donor in the future. The robots follow the original manual process of manufacture but with superior levels of accuracy, speed and cleanliness. Some people have absolute pitch, the ability to identify a note or sing a specific note on demand. It's often an inherited trait and appears more often in men than women. The area of the brain cortex which measures audio signals is measurably larger in those with this skill. However, if people with perfect pitch hear someone singing or playing playing slightly off key, it drives them crazy! A defensive driving tip: Buying a new car? Choose a yellow, white or beige car. A committee of the church acted as general contractor contractor for the project, with Andy Vccnstra, a builder and church member overseeing the work. The project was completed completed within the budget. "I think the volunteer labour had a lot to do with that," said Pastor Abma. Of course, the pastor adds that, despite any buildings or facilities it might have, a church is really made up of the people who attend. "One of the biggest reasons for the construction construction was to accommodate many of the programs we have going on at the church," he said. Rehoboth has about 750 members. There is a large Sunday school, a girls' club of about 70 members, a boys' club numbering 30 to 40 members and many other fellowship groups within the congregation who meet regularly. Membership in the church includes a lot of younger families. families. In fact, Rehoboth has a complete range of age groups, with as many people under 30 in the congregation as those over 30. Rehoboth is also home to the Stroke Support group which meets several times each month. Use of the building by the community is something the church encourages. ' "We'd like the community to see the church as a resource that can be used," Pastor Abma explained. For example, the new sanctuary is ideally suited for concerts, lectures and readings. readings. And the many rooms lend themselves ideally to workshops. workshops. Rehoboth Christian Reformed Church was founded in 1949 and has been at its present present site since 1952.
