They start at the age of four and go to the age of approximately approximately eight, depending on their size. They are let out of a chute on the back of a sheep and they try to ride for at least eight seconds. All the contestant has to hold on with is their hands dug into the sheep's wool. They are judged by two judges on how they sit, some times distance, how much action the sheep has, and how much you, the spectator cheers. These small competitors are beginning their rodeo career so let us cheer them on. Rodeo is a family sport and we all know the influence we can have on children.
