Only one minute into the first period, McPherson's Carol-Anne Bruno, assisted by Jana Cryderman and Tara Slemon, got her first goal of the season. season. Newcastle Optimist Clarington Atom team played host to White Rose. The game was called due to Katie Parcher having to be taken out by ambulance. We are happy to say that she will be alright. She sustained a minor whiplash. This game is rescheduled for March 8, in Newcastle. 7-Eleven Peewée team played host to first place, Thorton Dundee. Only 1:03 into the first period, Miki Orme got an unassisted goal for 7-Eleven. Krista Meuller, assisted by Melissa Hynes, for Thorton, came back to even the score. With no scoring scoring in the second period both teams came on' strong in the third period. Clarington, plagued with penalties, were unable to take the lead.
