It was a lot of fun and it raised over $500. Proceeds from the marathon are going to Sick Children's Hospital. Thank you to all participants. On Tuesday, February 25th, and Thursday, February 27th, Courtice Secondary School held the grade eight orientation day. We would like to thank all students and parents who came out and participated in this event. We hope that it was beneficial. Champions We are the Champions!!! On Wednesday, February ■ 26th Courtice Secondary's senior girls volleyball team competed in the LOSSA playoffs. playoffs. In the semifinal match the team defeated G.L. Roberts with the scores of 16- 14 and 15-7. In the final match against our rival Brock high school, we defeated them with the scores of 15-10 and 15-12 to make this our second straight LOSSA "AA" win. The senior team will now advance to the Ontario championships to be held March 4th - March 6th at Perth Ontario. The Junior Girls' Volleyball Team won in their LOSSA championships as well. The midgets won first in their division and third over all. Congratulations to all teams and coaches! Go Courtice Go! OFSAA Wrestling On February 27 Courtice Secondary sent 5 students to the OFSAA Wrestling competition competition held in Kitchener. The team hopes to come back with two medals and hope that all five students will make it into the top six. The results of these competitions will be in next week's issue. Spring is quickly approaching and so is rugby. Rugby will be starting up in mid-April, so get ready to play! CANDU, can do it! Congratulations to the team of Canada first on a job well done.
