He moved to the Kendal area with his family to grow tobacco. He was jack-of-all-trades. He had a brilliant mind enabling him to do many different jobs. He marriec Betty (nee Farrow) and moved to Pontypool to work on the CPR railroad. Then in 1952 went to work in the main offices o General Motors, but when the Motors went on strike he then turned his talents to mechanic work, having worked for Me Knight's Garage and then Stock's Garage in Hampton. In 1959 fie started working for Partner Plumbing in Orono but in 1962 he formed a partnership with Barnes and Byam Plumbing and Heating in Tyrone. After many years he decided to have his own small business at Barnes General Contracting in Hampton where he and his wife ived for over 36 years and where they raised their family He loved sports and sponsorec a Hampton girls' ball team anc men's hockey league. Lloyd also was an excellent carpenter laving built new homes for fami y members and enjoyed reno vating other homes. His wife stil owns Barnes' apartments in Hampton. In 1989 Lloyd and his wife sold and moved to their cot- age on Balsam Lake and then to their residence near Cobo conk. Lloyd always had a grea sense of humour and enjoyed watching his grandchildren. In 1994 Lloyd suffered severe strokes arid then in 1996 broke iis hip which eventually con 'ined him to a wheelchair, but he was never one to complain. A determined and loving wife and grandchildren, also help from Homecare and Dr. Warsi's home visits enabled him to remain at home where he peacefully passed away February 24 997. Mackey Funeral Home in Lindsay arranged for cremation with his service to follow in May at Hampton Cemetery for his amily and friends. He is sur vived by his wife Betty; daugfv ter Donna and husband Wally and their sons Greg and Scott MacKay of R.R. #1, Orono; son Doug and wife Brenda and their children Jenny and Michael of Hampton; daughter Dale and tusband Brian and their children children Angela, Carrie, Bryan and Danny Brown of R.R.#1, Kirk- eld and daughter Deanna and tusband Carl and girls Crystal and Dianne Barrett of R.R.#5 Bowmanville; and a son Danny predeceased him in 1964.
