Golfers will tee off on June 4 at Pickering's Seaton Golf and Country Club (2665 Brock Road). The tournament will use a shotgun format and will begin at 12:30 p.m. following registration registration at 11:30 a.m. The $100 entry fee includes green fees, golf cart, dinner and prizes. Five fabulous Hole-in-One prizes have been donated including a 1997 Car, Trips to Jamaica and Florida, air fare to Germany, courtesy of Williamson Buick Pontiac - Uxbridge and $10,000 courtesy of Fortune Financial - Ajax. There are other great prizes for the best score, longest drive, closest to the hole, etc. Master of Ceremonies will be Ken Shaw from CFTO-TV. Durham Region Community Care Association is hoping the tournament will help recover $13,000 that was recently cut from client services. New Jays "K for Kids" There are many reasons for fans across the province to be excited about the Toronto Blue Jays this year. Not only do they feature one of baseball's best pitching staffs, but the Jays recently launched a new initiative -- "K for Kids" -- encouraging encouraging fans to join the action and win a chance to attend the 1997 World Series. K for Kids encourages fans to match strike-outs, or K's, made by Blue Jays' pitchers with a donation to the Toronto Blue Jays Charitable Foundation. The Goalie's Nightmare forces a goaltender to stay in his set postion until a puck is shot through the device. On its way through, the puck changes direction after hitting one of the upper or lower panels clear panels. The product will retail for between $2,500 - $3,000. It was designed by Stan Konarowski, who plays men's hockey in Bowmanville.
