FAMILY FLICKS -- The Optimist Club of Newcastle Village presents another Family Flicks night at the Newcastle Community Hall in May 7th featuring "Jungle 2 Jungle" starring starring Tim Allen. FRIDAY, MAY 9 TEEN DANCE -- The Optimist Club of Newcastle hosts a Teen Dance at the Newcastle Community Hall from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, May 9th. This event is for young people aged 12 to 18 years old. Admission $4 per person. Parents are welcome welcome to slay and volunteer as supervisors. CHORAL CONCERT -- On Friday, May 9th, at 7:30 p.m. the recently formed Durham Adventist Choir under the direction direction of Sharon Foreman will present David Clydesdale's "I Stand in Awe," along with other choral selections. The concert will be held at the Bowmanville Seventh Day Adventist Church at 2850 Hwy Two at Lambs Road. Admission is free. BACH PORCH TRIO -- : A concert by the Bach Porch Trio and the Déjà Vu Choral Ensemble takes place on Friday, May 9th, at 7:45 p.m. at St. Luke's Presbyterian Church in Oshawa (Rossland & Park). The Bach Porch Trio includes flute, classical classical guitar and cello. The concert program features classical* popular, folk and show music. She created an attractive arrangement using a crocus, lilac, geranium and begonia to produce an entry entitled "Spring Thaw." With the winner is Doreen Lowery.
