She just might have recommended recommended the one at Central Public School in Bowmanville. Dressed as a mermaid is Kathy Nesbitt, along with her daughter, Tabitha, who is trying her luck at fishing. On Thursday, May 8th, supporters of Central Public School were invited to visit the Fun Fair's fish pond to see what they could catch. The event began with a barbecue from 5 to 6 p.m. At six o'clock, the fun continued with face painting, cake walks, a mini golf area, and even a Ghoul School...a scary haunted schoolhouse. Rounding out the evening was a loonie table with gift items donated by local businesses. Proceeds will go to end-of-year class trips, and the creative playground.
