Three hundred women from all over Canada joined together for a wonderful time of fellowship and worship, of which 10 were from the Oshawa Presbyterial. All the theme leaders, two of whom had come from Africa, held us captive with their presentation. Nangula Kathindi, from Namibia, and Connie Mabusela, from Zimbabwe, spoke to us of the plight of women in their respective areas. They also entertained us with songs, sung in their own language. At the Saturday night banquet there were 450 gathered for a delicious meal, followed by an address by the Moderator, Marion Best. The entertainment entertainment could not be surpassed, with the singing of the group Distinction and the dancing of the Miyoung Kim Korean Dance Company.
