They also took a load of used furniture and toys for the children of the community they will be visiting. A trip with a mission Bowmanville church group off to Honduras BOWMANVILLE - A local church group is off on an annual mission to help where help is needed. On Saturday, Jan. 22, eight members of the Rc- hobolh Christian Reformed Church in Bowmanville, left on a Honduran relief mission. The church members will be away for two weeks. The group will be working working with an existing housing reconstruction program to help the Honduran people rebuild rebuild the homes devastated by Hurricane Mitch which ravaged the Central American American area in October of 1998. "What is great about this program is that it doesn't simply build houses and hand them over to the Honduran people," says the Bowmanville Bowmanville mission co-ordinator co-ordinator Andy Mcima. "Rather, we work alongside the local people people building their homes which, in turn, gives the stricken families a sense of accomplishment, pride and ownership toward their new homes.
