Born in Solina, Ont., he was a son of the late William Thomas and Mary Edth Mildred (Penfound) Baker. He was a veteran of the Second Second World War and served with the RCAF for 26 years retiring in 1972 as a Telecom Tech. He was also employed with the C.N. Railway and Pascal Hardware. He was an active member of the Boy Scouts of Canada and the Royal Canadian Legion. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family Surviving are his sons, John Michael, Dartmouth; Dartmouth; Robert William, Abbottford, B.C.; daugh- ler-in-law, Rowena Baker, Halifax; grandchildren, Robert, Judy Jennifer, Billy, Allan and Sarah; several great-grandchildren; companion, Joyce Burton; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Venona Elizabeth Elizabeth (Boyle); sons, Allan Gordon, infant son Phillip. Phillip. At his request cremation has taken place.
