The Provincial Junior League game marked the return of Mike Posavad, who was the head coach of the Eagles last season before taking over the reigns in Cobourg during the summer. After falling behind early, Cobourg rallied with four unanswered goals and skated to a 5-2 win. „ For any coach, it's always nice to come back into the home rink of your old team and leave with a victory. "I purposely tied not to think too much about it before the game," said Posavad of the return. "I tied to play it like any other game but obviously it's in the back of your mind." Bowmanville jumped out to a 1-0 lead midway through the first period on a goal by Ken Chesher, but after that Cobourg took over.
