He was born in Eber- bach, Germany on November 15lh, 1917. Alex came to Canada first as a prisoner of war in camps at Nipigon and Northern Alberta Alberta and then immigrated here in 1953. He settled settled in Oshawa and operated a barbershop until October 1998. He is survived by his wife Ruth (Gladys), a brother Eugen in Germany and his stepchildren; Dolores (Rene) of Montreal, Montreal, Diane of Thunder Bay and Stephen of Toronto. He was predeceased by his first wife Elizabeth in 1984. A private viewing was held at JENKENS FUNERAL HOME, Thunder Bay, Ontario and cremation followed.
