Not only did the Lords capture the overall title at the Niagara College Invitational Invitational last week, they did so in convincing convincing fashion shooting a total of 297, good enough for a 10-stroke victory over the second place Humber Hawks. Will Mitchell continues to swing well, carding a team low 73 in leading the Lords to victory. Matt St. Thomas and Kevin Robson each shot a 74, while Tyler Martin struggled slightly on his way to a 76. For the ladies, Stephanie Brown kept' the winning streak going with her first place finish, shooting an 82, one stroke ahead of Humber's Hillary Sal vain. Durham's second men's team placed eighth, after shooting a 325. Ryan Moris- selte led the team with a 74, while Chad Boudreau (76), Cody Brifoglio (86) and Tyler Boudreau (89) rounded out the scoring. i The Lords are competing this week in the 2006 OCAA Golf Championships at Fircrock Golf Club in London, Ontario, looking to go a perfect 4-for-4 in tournament tournament play this season. Massey House goes undefeated CLARINGTON -- For the first time, the Newcastle Massey House all girls' Bantam team has completed a season undefeated. Recently, the team defeated a determined Tyrone team 4-0 in an exciting game under some very wet conditions to become the Bantam A Division champions Tor the Darlington Soccer Club. Over the course of the season the sheer determination, hard work and especially the teamwork has made this a memorable season for all involved with the team. . The defence allowed the fewest number of goals in the léague and was made up of Suzanne Pasquet, Amy Crawford, Kayleen Peters and Brittany Sheahan. The midfield was very strong and did an excellent job of controlling the games. The midfielders were Olivia Adams, Taylor Farrell, Leah Higgins, Olivia Jenkins, Lauren Malcolm, Jolene Parks and Hollie Spratley. The great offensive efforts were put in by Krista Valckx, Chrissi Bastas, Joanna Bastas and Jennifer Perrin.
