The fire engine had a call to Mrs. Roy’s residence alt 12.20 a.m. this morning (Thursday), when someone is supposed to have set about 2 cords of ties on fire on the property Mrs. Roy has rented from the Railway Co. Two cans were found: near the pile and they 'smeled of gasoline which makes it look as if gasoline was pour- ed on the logs and ignited. Upon the arrival of the fire engine the blaze was soon under control. Mi-. O. A. Brown has his tinsmith business nip for sale and is leaving Orono for Fenelon Fall's around the 30th of this month. Tie ha* been in business here for the past seven, years and he will be greatly missed from our community in lodge work and also as a good1 citizen. It; is expected that ' sighs., will bo erlected on the road from Orono north tod-ay (Thursday), giving the No. of the highway. This road has been taken over by the government recent- ly and is one of the election pledges fulfilled. We hope to see the road; paved sometime in the near future.
