This writer's niece, a teacher went to the Soviet Union last Easter but they were not permitted to see the schools in operation, which was a big disappointment, as it was a teachers tour. Local tax payers are expected to subscribe $602,500 to the total proposed budget for road work amounting to $1,447,762. Coun. Don Wearn chairman of the committee defended the budget stating that it would require this amount of money to keep pace with service established last year.
