The minutes were read and approved, Word was received that one fifty dollar live-love project will aid the ministry to the deaf in Halifax. Our second $50.00 project will help the "Cree Elders School" to be held this spmmer at Norway House in Northern Manitoba. Moved by Mrs. T. Stevens, seconded by Miss C. Stewart that the Board of Session be advised that the U.C.W. will sponsor a memorial cross to be placed on the altar. Donations towards this cross will be appreciated. Moved by Mrs. R. Elliott sec. by Mrs. T. Stevens that we send $10.00 to OxFam to aid the people of Bangledesh. Hymn 263. "My Faith looks up the Thee", was sung. Mrs. T. Stevens read an article by Dr. Robt. McClure. A delicious lunch was provided provided by Mrs. J. Stapleton. The next meeting will be at the home of Miss C. Stewart, Thursday, May 8th in the evening. Sunday April 13 was Gideon Bible Sunday and Mr. Mendal Smith of the Gideons International International of Canada told us of the wonderful work they do in supplying Bibles to each pupil in grade five in Canada. They place Bibles in each hotel and motel room in Canada. Bibles are provided in hospital rooms and prisons. They carry on a world wide ministry in one hundred and eight countries. The Choir sand "Trust and Obey" with Mrs. Allen Foster at the organ. Spring Program VISUAL ARTS CENTRE The Off-Loom Weaving program program which started April 7th has been extended a week to May 19th. Penny Muir, from Oshawa is the instructor at the session which are held Mondays at 7p.m. to9:30p.m. weekly at the Visual Arts Centre. Carol Reynolds is the instructor instructor for the Children's Art program beginning May 3 to May 31. Saturday morning sessions will be held weekly for children up to grade 8. Mrs. Reynolds has taught through the Orono art group as well as teaching children through the recreation depa- artment for the past 3 years. She plans to work in a mixed media and to encourage individual endeavours. The 2M> to 3 hour session will involve basic Colour and basic composition work in drawing and picture making, and perhaps craft work for the younger children.
