News The Newcastle Detachmen of the Ontario Provincial Police investigated the following following Motor Vehicle Collisions and occurrences during the period May 5, 1975 to May 11, 1975. Twenty four Motor Vehicle Collisions were investigated in which six persons were injured. As a result of these collisions fourteen charges •have been laid under the Highway Traffic Act and two charges have been laid under the Criminal Code. The Newcastle Officers also investigated one hundred and fourty occurrences of a general general nature. Some of these were as follows: There were 7 investigations into Theft offences, offences, three investigations into Break and Enter offences and 2 investigations into Wilful Damage offences. Ray Staples took a third place finish in the third with his own horse Phil Oakie. The win went to Kil Deer Valley. Three Orono drivers were entered in the fourth event of the night with the win being taken by Chatham Chip. Keith West placed fourth with Donna Duke Dee, Gerald Robinson sixth with Argyel Royal and Derek Newman seventh with J. Phair's Sharp Gier. Ameego won the sixth in 2.04.4 while Gerald Robinson was fifth with Karen's Comet. Derek Newman was fourth behind the winner. Armbro Largo in the seventh race.
