Approximately 60 area Senior Citizens were entertained to a night of Fun and Games at our Annual Senior Citizens Night. We have also purchased some 150 sweaters for Minor Sports, and supplied tables for the Brownsdale Community Centre. Centre. Donations have also been made to the Newcastle Drop- in-Centre, Red Cross, Cancer Society and to our main project the Cystic Fibrosis Clinic in Toronto. Dr. Roger Crozier of the CF Foundation recently stated at our District Convention that a control for Cystic Fibrosis may be achieved achieved in the near future. We would like to thank the citizens of Orono, Newcastle and surrounding areas for supporting us in our projects in the past year. Special thanks to the Stapleton brothers' brothers' of NeWtonville for their time in helping us with our Auction Sale, and also to Curvply Industries of Orono for the use of their bus during our Senior Citizens Day. The motto of Kinsmen is to serve the communities greatest greatest need. If you know of a need for your community, please contact a Kinsmen and we will try to look after it. She was born on December 25th, 1883, daughter of the late Andrew Moffatt & Elizabeth McKay (Moffatt). She married married the late Arthur T. Allen June 3rd, 1905. She is survived by : Kathleen (Mrs. H. Hooey) Oshawa. Harold, Vance and Vale ta (Mrs. M. Green) of Orono, and Ernest, Fairbanks, Fairbanks, Alaska. The funeral service was held at the Morris Funeral Chapel, Bowmanville, the Rev. B. Long, Officiating, was largely attended by relatives and friends. Interment in the Orono Cemetary. The Pall Bearers were: Messrs. Wm. Hooey, Edgar Middleton, Earl Hooey, Douglas Douglas Allen, Ben Madill and Terrance Allen. Mrs. Allen was a highly respected citizen of the community community and well loved by her Family arid Friends, she will be sadly missed. The beautiful floral tributes received were a token of the respect shown for Mrs. Allen, also the donations to the Heart Fund arid the Cancer Research. Research.
