All companies stated that they are now hit by increased costs, especially for gas, steel and labour at a level never experienced before. A report has been received by the Regional Works department department for the establishment establishment of sanitary waste dumping dumping stations for camping trailers at five of the region's water pollution control plants. It was pointed out at the meeting that it would be much cheaper to add these facilities at the existing plants rather than having to clean up roadsides where people may dump their sanitary waste. The five plants in the region designated for the stations and their cost of construction are; the Lake Simcoe water pollution control plant at Beaverton, $800; Scugog River River control plant at Port Perry, $800; Soper Creek water control plant at Bowmanville, $600; Corbett Creek plant at Whitby, $900 and Duffin Creek No. 1 plant at Pickering Village at a cost of $600.
