entry in Orono flower show Despite the generally poor growing conditions this summer summer Orono Horticulturists staged a magnificent display of flowers and vegetables at their annual Summer show on Thursday evening, August 21st. The Judges, Mr.and Mrs. Russell Van Horne of Whitby, had no easy task in selecting the winners from the many top class entries. A report was also neard from the Delegates to The Annual Convention of the Ontario Horticultural Associa tion, held this year in Barrie on June 20 and June 21. Mrs. Zegers volunteered to head a committee to set up a flower table at the Orono Fair. Mrs. Touehburn was respon sible for the Laboriousjask of receiving and tabulating the many entries in the various classes and also announced the prize winners. She received received a well deserved round of applause for her efforts. The abundent sunshine this year has made the peaches most delicious and the honey has a fine flavour and with it also being much thicker than other years.
