He notes that General Motors is a responsible corporate citizen but that it is dangerous to have the whole riding dependent on them for its economic security. He also states that government is a form of industry and can see no reason why it should be concentrated in the congestion congestion of down-town Toronto. "Why not insist that our economic base be broadened by moving some government into this area," he said in a recent release. The liberal candidate points to the Pine. Ridge School property in Bowmanville as the right site for the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and as well states that Darlington, just east of Oshawa is a suitable site for the Ministry of Energy and even for Ontario hydro. Mr. Entwisle notes that both areas are owned by the Province of Ontario or its agents. The liberal candidate also insists that, the Go Train should be extended to Oshawa and Bowmanville to make these sites highly assessable. The candidate asked why the local incumbent Tory members didn't fight for such self-evident causes - "They didn't - I will". 7wf "^College to open SUCCESS ^ r St. Andrew's Centre OF A MAN, USUALLY COMES FROM A COMBINATION OF DOLLARS AND SENSE WATSON'S Marine and Cycle Orono Phone 983-5343 Hamiltons Insurance Service your Friendly Agency All Personal and Commercial Insurance Sadie Hamilton Sue Sawyer Jim Hare For dependable service 983-5115 Designed to bring the College College to the Community, Durham Durham College is opening an Educational Centre at St. Andrew's United Church in Oshawa.
