Its main objective is to foster good school-community relations. relations. One way this has been accomplished is through the many volunteers who have helped in setting up playground playground equipment, directly helping helping in the classroom, accompanying accompanying classes on field trips, etc. Aside from assisting the teachers in filling a need, it is significant in the minds of our chidlren that we, as parents, are interested not only in our children in their few waking hours at home, but in their lives at school as well. The meetings also provide a great opportunity to have direct contact with the teachers, teachers, who have such a profound effect on our children's lives and to assist them in 'their efforts in any way we can. On occasion, we have special special programs, but for the most part we meet on a very informal basis, developing a better understanding of the problems facing teachers today today and giving us an insight we would never know without this contact with the principal and teachers themselves. Several important evenings are planned for this fall including a Curriculum Night., on Nove. 5, a speaker on Child Behaviour on Oct. 21, and a Meet the Teacher Night. Our meetings are ususally held on the last Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. Parental input and ideas are always welcome. Help make this year a real experience for your children. Become involved !
