Two accidents occurred not far away the holiday week end. One man was killed at the intersection at kirby. He and his wife were travelling west when a north bound car hit them. Another man Saturday Saturday night, perhaps came down the ski hill at a very high rate of speed and as he crossed over the big creek west of Kendal village he lost control, going first into the south ditch then into the north ditch, then the car turned over on a ploughed filed. The driver was thrown out unhurt. He said it was his Dad's car. He was going to Garden Hill. We are glad to see the children back to Sunday School. We hope that next week they will be in the choir. TWO GRID SYSTEM The agreement is a two grid system, from September 1st to December 31st, 1975 and from January 1st to August 31st, 1976. Last year a high school teacher in the lowest category was earning $8,i22 which has been raised to $10,000 for the period from September to end of December December and to $10,435 during the period from January to the first of September in 1976. The highest category in the last contract was $18,800 which increases to $22,500 and finally finally to $23,500 from the period from January 1st to August 31st in 1976. A cost of living clause is also included in the contract also on the two grid system with $7.00 for each one-tenth of a point increase in the cost of living index to a maximum to $700.00. Upon holding a vote the teachers voted in favour of accepting the offer by the board with a slim majority. The teacher's committee committee is to issue a news release in the near future.
