Cali us now Millson Insurance Agency Office: Corner of Church and Cobbledick Street 983-5032 A Beef Stabilization Program Program that guarantees producers producers the minimum price for slaughter cattle was announced announced by the Agricultural Department Department in Ottawa this week. Effective between August 12 of this year and the end of the year, it will assure producers of at least $43.94 cwt. for Grades A, B, & C cattle sold for slaughter. If the average price drops below this price level, the government will make up the difference with the support price. The support level takes into account the difficult circumstances of the farmer producing finished beef. Previous support programs programs ran from August to August, but the latest ones, switches the programs to a calendar year basis. We would remind producers that application for the new program cannot be made until after the end of December when the average price will be determined. However, producers producers are reminded to keep all information relative to the sale of slaughter cattle from their farms. This will be required when making application application in early 1976. We did want to point out, however, that the program for Slaughter Slaughter Cattle has been extended to the end of the year and has now been put on a calendar basis.
